Extraction Method

Bergamot essence is obtained through cold expression of the rind of the fruit.

Uses

Bergamot brings a definite yet soft touch of freshness to all types of scented products, and adds an unusual character to hesperides. Also used in eaux de Cologne, eaux fraîches, Chypre and amber perfumes and in teas and candies (especialy bergamot candies from Nancy, France).

Medicinal properties

Stimulant, antiseptic, anti-depressant. It is used without the ingredients of bergapten and furanocoumarin to avoid any risk of photosensitivity. Its scent increases mental power, concentration, and helps sustain strong physical efforts. Reduces stress and tension.
