Rooney Mara is the new face of Calvin Klein
31 july 2013One year after his masculine fragrance Encounter, Calvin Klein launches Downtown.
It’s a modern feminine scent with gardenia, plum and cedarwood.
To promote this perfume, the brand chose Rooney Mara. You don’t know her yet ?
Rooney Mara, 28, is known for her role in the American version of ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’. Here, Rooney embodies the urban and feminine spirit of the fragrance.
The photograph of the campaign is Jean-Baptiste Mondino. The ad video is directed by David Fincher who made The Social Network, Benjamin Button, Seven and… The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
This spot in black and white was shot in New York City. It shows the different sides of a famous actress who lives in the city.

Report abuseThe ad by David Fincher sweeps one up as he captures the "downtown girl." Rooney Mara is shown in so many lights including romantic, playful, reflecting, and enigmatic. I love the music that effectively furthers the power of the effectiveness of the commercial. It has now become my favorite perfume commercial with the ad with Charlize for J'Adore follows as a close second favorite. I like urban & modern.
