10 fragrant eaux to try this summer
30 june 2014This summer, Lanvin unveils Lanvin Me L’Eau: waves of magnolia, rose and blood-red peach add up to a sparklingly joyful breeze!
At Jean Paul Gaultier, Le Beau Mâle's lavender-mint duo has been enhanced with violet and sandalwood. For a seafaring atmosphere, the bottle and packaging are embellished with ropes, an anchor and… an octopus!
At the heart of the same “sea-creatures” edition, mermaids’ get their very own perfume: Classique Eau d’été! Clementine, lily-of-the-valley and iris have been invited into the original composition.
L’Eau d’Issey pour Homme, on the other hand, plays an exotic card, with kiwi and pineapple. A fresh and colorful summer getaway. A women’s version is available too.
Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess 2014 really stands out thanks to its creamy, sundrenched waves of Tahitian tiaré flower, coconut and vanilla... In a (coco)-nutshell: this is a fragrance that will make you feel like you’re at the beach!
For one summer, Azzaro Chrome flaunts South American colors. The original’s scent’s tea accord and musk have been jazzed up with a twist of mandarin orange and pink pepper.
Blood orange, raspberry, apricot skin… Daisy Eau So Fresh Delight is a gourmand reinterpretation of the signature scent. For this 2014 edition, Marc Jacobs also proposes Daisy Delight, a flanker for Daisy.
A fragrance that doubles as a work of art:Yves Saint Laurent’s L’Homme Libre is now garbed in a bottle conceived by the Norwegian artist Gardar Eide Einarsson. The ‘Art Edition’ is also available for L’Homme and La Nuit de L’Homme.
L’Eau par Kenzo Mirror Edition pour femme reveals a fruity floral freshness composed of melon, raspberry and lily-of-the-valley. There’s a men’s version too.
And in case of a heat wave, L’Occitane presents Frisson de Verveine (Verbena Shiver), a citrusy unisex eau with a refreshing touch of cucumber.

Report abuseMy first choice would be Bronze Goddess 2014 because of the creaminess. I love my recent purchase of Cartier Eau Zeste De Soleil. The citron is uplifting and not too "lemony." My other recent purchases are not summery (Habanita and Tom Ford's Violet Blond and Black Orchid). I must revisit Daisy now that there are so many versions. I agree that sometimes JP Gaultier is tiresome in new launches. I always forget which one is the Classique I love. Very nice article.
