Yves Saint Laurent's Paris by Venini

13 january 2015

The most prestigious Murano art glass maker, Venini, pays tribute to Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic perfume.

Splendid fragrance Paris exhales roses and subtle, powdery notes of violet, refreshed by bergamot, then deliciously coated in musks and sandalwood. Its unique woddy floral trail has become an all-time reference in perfumery.

In order to express the treasures inside this perfume, to translate its famous bottle into a sculpture, Venini looked into the art glass making heritage and techniques of Murano. More specifically, the «Murrine» method, as shown here, consists in a glass mosaïc (five shades of rose) being heated at 1300 degrees, mouth-blown and shaped by the Master Glass Maker.

We think this art work is gorgeous, do you like it?
