Fragrant ideas for Valentine’s Day
04 february 2013Looking for gift ideas for Valentine’s Day? What could be more romantic than perfume? Here are a few ideas – of both new scents and classics – to look out for.
New perfumes: Lalique unveils L’Amour, a bouquet of white flowers over a woodsy base. And there’s also Kenzo Amour I ♥U. In its powdery-pink bottle, it delivers a floral juice with a central note of rose.
Two other, more-established perfumes that focus on love: Amor Amor, Cacharel’s best-selling scent, with its fruity and slightly gourmand notes and Love (Chloé), which is more powdery.
Among the limited editions for 2013, Lancôme is launching Trésor Midnight Rose in Love. The bottle is like a transparent vase, cleverly affording a glimpse of the satin rose’s thorny stem! The juice is the same, with a fruity-floral heart evolving towards a woodsy-vanilla trail.
Let’s not forget themen! Turn him on to Eternity for men, Calvin Klein’s classic scent, with aromatic and woody notes. Or what about Declaration, by Cartier, which is spicier. It just came out in a night-time version: Declaration d’un Soir, a men’s scent with a touch of rose in its heart. Perfect for a real, romantic gentleman!
