Bleu de Chanel is the timeless best-selling men’s fragrance of all time. The warm woody scent is perfect to flatter your personality in all seasons, whether summer, spring, or fall. Wear it all day to your classic date, or choose it for a fresh sensation on a warm day; the results are sure to amaze you.

Bleu de Chanel

The top notes of Bleu de Chanel are lemon, mint, pink pepper, and grapefruit. Cedar notes of amber eventually follow its fresh citrus accord. Woods are amplified by Tonka Beans and creamy Vanilla for deepened carnality.  For the base, the new Caledonian Sandalwood unfolds for even more incredible sensuality

Side by side comparaison of Bleu de Chanel vs. Versace Pour Homme

Main Accords – The winner is Bleu de Chanel

The fresh airy odor of Bleu De Chanel opens up with a sweet soothing projection of citrus, hot, and aldehyde notes. This makes the impression of bright yet refreshing sporting elegance. The bergamot and lemon in their powerful formula work together to enhance the versatile citrusy opening, further improved by the soft spicy pink pepper—the mint blends in to give a cooling green sensation with just the right sprinkles of spicy feel.

On the other hand, Versace Pour Homme EDT may be defined as the medium to an excellent projection of citrus with an odor that feels a little gloomy and casual for a grand event. The opening does feel refreshing, but the accords are somewhat orange and overpowering. The strong odor is contemporary but is more of an office suited fragrance.

Chanel's woody aromatic fragrance vs. Versace's modern Fougere

Chanel boosts its Bleu De Chanel as the woody aromatic fragrance that is made with a combination of aromatic herbs and an opulent center that unleash the pure vitality of a person who is the master of their destiny, ready to defy the rules.

Versace's Pour Homme is the modern take on the classic aromatic Fougere fragrance for men. The heart of Versace Pour Homme is the mineral floral aroma that is almost tactile, Clary Sage and Blue Hyacinth with the sensation that speaks of pure masculinity only.

The Tones – Winner is Versace

Versace pour Homme by Versace

Versace Pour Homme, also known as Versace Signature, was launched in 2008. The nose behind this one of the best unisex majestic fragrances was Alberto Morillas. The scent opens with a medium to a strong projection of citrus, white flowery, and green notes. The refreshing, sharp, and sour experience it gives is mind-blowing. Its opening notes of lemon, neroli, bergamot, and hyacinth will do their magic. These notes make an incredibly floral, stylish, and sweet sensation.

This fragrance can be characterized as the mineral-floral aroma, almost tactile of Clary Sage and Blue Hyacinth. For base notes, it has amber and musk stored to provide the true essence of pure masculinity.

Bleu de Chanel, on the other hand, was launched in 2010 for men with the expertise of Jacques Polge. The fragrance contains top notes of lemon, mint, pink pepper, and grapefruit; middle notes of ginger, Iso E Super, nutmeg, and jasmine; and base notes of labdanum, sandalwood, patchouli, vetiver, incense, cedar, and white musk.

Its top notes are citrus, hot, and aldehyde. Aldehyde in this fragrance is quite noticeable that grows after a minute to give a clean musky lemon and clean accords. Later it grows on to provide a smoky, extreme cast. The cedar and patchouli service notes combine for glowy refreshing woody green signature vibrancy.

Versace Pour Homme a scent of power and mystery

Versace is the winner of tones as it succeeded in giving the user’s personality a sense of power and mystery to make you look more classy, zesty, and gentle. After Versace has attained its complete down dry brings the notes of musk and cedar, and the odor gets tender and inviting.

Whereas Bleu de Chanel felt airy, aldehydic, and energizing. The excellent blend of all notes gives a more casual and ultra-fresh look. The odor has a noticeable introduction to dry transition, and the opening is short and favors more citrus, mint pepper, ginger, and aldehydes

Longevity & Sillage – The winner is Bleu de Chanel

Bleu de Chanel ad campaign

In the comparison of the two, we found Bleu de Chanel more potent in terms of sillage and longevity. It starts as a strong scent that settles down on the user's skin. However, it won’t take over the environment but has impressive performance

It has impressive longevity that can hit up to 8 hours easily. The fragrance can be worn year-round, but it is more appealing in autumn and spring. For summers, it gave an energizing uplift to the soul, which is its sweet spot you won’t find anywhere else.

This casual fragrance is more towards formal wear that retains its versatility throughout its end. Whether you use it for a dressed-up occasion or wear it on a t-shirt, you will feel sexy and mature and receive compliments from women.

The projection of Versace Pour Homme is not super powerful. It is pretty loud, but the cologne settled down to a moderate fragrance. You can overspray it to long last, but its longevity we found is for 5-6 hours. However, the longevity is considerable for its summer citrus effect. On the colder days, the fragrance felt a little unfamiliar; thus preferred in the summers.

Versace Pour Homme is a versatile scent

For a hot, humid climate, Pour Homme is a fragrance to enjoy maximum versatility. You can wear it to work, but you can also use it for casual dinner or night-out adventures. It indeed draws attention and positive compliments and appreciation of its distinct aroma.

Value for Money – Tie – Both have an affordable price tag

Bleu De Chanel is the most affordable perfume you will pick from the shelf. The price might seem a little overwhelming at first sight for its fragile bottle, but the longevity it provides is enough to equal the value for money. The younger generation can benefit from its outgoing, sporty fragrance.

Whereas Versace Pour Homme is another affordable perfume that comes in enough quantity to last you too long. Despite its lower price, the quality it offers is promising.

Fragrances everyone can enjoy

Both the scents serve great value for money. They are good perfumes that can be used on special occasions and amplify your personality at reasonable price tags.

Our scent experience – Top pick is Bleu De Chanel

It is our favorite scent from Chanel's collections. We enjoyed the citrus notes it has. The opening of spice felt calm and soothing, and the dry down of amber and wood is even better. The scent felt super soft and beautiful to adorn.

It’s a scent that does its magic independently really well. With Bleu de Chanel, you can never go wrong despite any season.

Final Word

For our final face-off of Bleu De Chanel and Versace Pour Homme, we would gladly declare Bleu De Chanel the better and safer choice of the day. The longevity and sillage it gave were exceptional and retained on the wearer for the final countdown.

Pour Homme by Versace is an excellent investment for a strong scent that is noticeable and dominant when worn. But it doesn't go well on cold winter days.
