Colonia Essenza opens with fresh, sparkling notes of sun-drenched Italian citrus fruits. At the heart, rosemary, jasmine and clove intertwine with lightly floral accords of and lily-of-the-valley. The sweet, woody close is composed around patchouli, vetiver and white musk.

History

Acqua di Parma presents Colonia Essenza, a cologne in this Italian brand’s authentically elegant image. Colonia Essenza is a new interpretation of Colonia; it echoes and amplifies the values of the scent created in 1916. The bottle is a resplendently intense black with a contrasting white label. ‘Essenza is Colonia’s tuxedo’ explains photographer Giovanni Gastel, who adds that Essenza is also ‘the purest expression of Colonia’. Although Colonia Essenza’s communication (tuxedo and bow-tie) is aimed more towards men, the scent could easily be worn by women, too.

The fragrance comes in Colonia’s ‘Art Deco’ bottle, which is graced with a white label for a striking contrast with the intensely black glass. You’ll recognize the house’s signature royal coat of arms.
