Description
Lilac Path opens with orange flower and green notes of galbanum. The heart mixes lilac and jasmine lactone (a molecule with floral and creamy fruity notes). The base unveils angelica seed. Fragrance Company : Firmenich.
History
Lilac Path ‘captures the spirit of spring and makes it last’, explains Aerin Lauder. Aerin Lauder, who is Estée Lauder’s granddaughter, launches in 2013 a collection of fragrances under her own brand, Aerin. Lilac Path is a floral fragrance with delicate green facets. The rectangular and uncluttered bottle is topped by a pink-colored stone.

Il est tentant ce floral-vert. Mais je crains qu'Aerin ne soit pas prévue pour les marchés français. C'est dommage...

The first 10 seconds make you feel as if you are holding some fresh lilac blooms. Then a smell that reminds me of honeysuckle kicks in and from there, green leaf mixes with the florals. It is a fragile yet tough lilac. Lilac and honeysuckle are so inherently innocent, they need to be paired with interesting notes and the pungent galbanum. Very floral. It makes me think of English girls who have names like Rose, Daisy, Violet and Hyacinth.

Like lily of the valley, there is no lilac essential oil. The perfumers reproduce the smell of the flower with other ingredients. For other fragrances with lilac, you can try Pleasures by Estee Lauder, which is fresher or Love Chloe, which is more powdery. Other possibility: After my own heart by niche brand Ineke. It’s a lilac soliflore !
