Description
With its oriental, gourmand and slightly animalic facets, Anima Dulcis opens with spicy notes of cinnamon with an infusion of chili peppers. The fragrance’s trail is very sweet, with its waves of cocoa and vanilla. The scent was formulated in collaboration with Yann Vasnier and Rodriguo Flores-Roux, Givaudan.

History
Arquiste, the brand founded by Carlos Huber, presents Anima Dulcis. The fragrance is inspired by Mexico City in 1695. The house describes the fragrance as a lush sensorial experience: ‘A fragrance of exotic spices wafting through the rooms of the Royal Convent of Jesus Maria. A group of nuns is preparing a baroque recipe of cocoa steeped with an assortment of hot peppers.’

Baroque is a great way of explaining a gourmand scent that has been underscored with animalic notes. I think this would be more suited to a man's tastes.

Du cacao en tête; c'est original. Mais ensuite j'ai l'impression que ça retombe sur un accord déjà vu, malgré la présence de piment. Mi figue-mi raisin
