A mysterious green elixir…
History
A mix of sensuous florals, rich woods and oriental notes, Absynthe is inspired by the magic of absinthe. “Absinthe, a mesmerizing potion known as the green fairy, is still one of the world’s most seductive mysteries,” explains Lacroix. “Its rich, mystical color reminds me of the citrine and topaz gemstones found on exotic embroideries.” Absynthe is captured in a bottle inspired by an intricate bull-fighting cape that Lacroix transformed into a couture gown. Oh how exciting, the absinthe perfume! Avon might not be the first to use absinthe in its perfume, but I am enthused by the pairing of it with myrrh, narcissus and saffron. A story-telling scent that unfolds slowly.

If, like me, you find the green, chemical top notes overpowering, simply be patient. Absynthe opens up into a sensual, musky (in a good way) scent that wraps you in delicious luxury. Excellent!
