Description
Rise opens with Italian bergamot, golden apricot and basil sorbet. Like in most Beyoncé perfumes, the floral heart is built around an orchid variety (the ‘Golden Symphony’ for this one). It also mixes freesia with sambac jasmine. The fragrance ends with a blend of cashmere wood, vetiver and white musks. Perfumer : Loc Dong, IFF.
History
Rise is a feminine fragrance by Beyoncé. The concept is about ‘female empowerment and finding the inner strength that makes women so beautiful’. Described as a luminous floral’ it is inspired by the singer’s favorite poet, Maya Angelou, an African-American member of the American civil rights movement. The rectangular golden flacon is designed by Kenneth Hirst.

I feel this is sharp, brazen, and overbearing. This is loaded with freesia, which is unpleasant on my skin.
