Capri, the island of unforgettable scents…
History
Created on the Italian island of Capri, Carthusia perpetuates the best of the Italian haute perfumery tradition. It is said to date back to the 14th century, when the Father Priory of the Chartreuse de St Jacques composed the island’s first perfume, for the sovereign Joan of Anjou. In 1948, when preciously guarded centuries-old formulas were rediscovered, the brand Carthusia, meaning “Chartreuse”, was born. Since then, Carthusia has adapted certain antique formulas in collaboration with Italian perfumers. The Fiori di Capri fragrance reveals a sumptuous bouquet corresponding to the image of the island where it all got started. In selected perfume shops and department stores.

Nouveau ne signifie pas toujours qu'il vaut mieux que le vieux. Capri and capriciousness go hand in hand. I love the bottle and the color chartreuse.

Interesting name & concept. I'd like to try a chypre from 2005 (when I didn't select them often).
