L'Heure Défendue
Description
L’Heure Défendue (The Forbidden Hour) is a dark and gourmand eau de parfum. The fragrance’s principal element appears very soon: cocoa bean. This chocolaty note, more tasty than sweet, actually has a light touch of bitterness. Patchouli, which is also very present, brings cocoa bean an earthy-woody facet, granting the dark chocolate even greater depth. Tolu balm and musks complete this oriental-woody composition that also includes sandalwood and vanilla. A fragrance for him or her. Perfumer: Mathilde Laurent.
At a glance
A voluptuous and very chocolaty hour
History
Number 7 in Cartier’s luxurious Les Heures de Parfum collection, L'Heure Défendue is a gourmet scent, at once powerful, dry and voluptuous. It reveals all the intensity of cocoa bean which, when paired with patchouli, creates a lush, dark trail. L’Heure Défendue is an hour in which resistance is useless, in which you give in to this ‘desire coated in voluptuous secrecy’… An hour in which you succumb to this fragrant temptation, ‘bewitched by the secret spell of absolute darkness’. The name "The Forbidden Hour," excites me. Chocolate lovers now have a new way to inhale chocolate. Edible seduction connotes lovers taking a box of chocolates to the woods in the early evening and enjoying every bite. Wow.
