N°19 Poudré
Description
This green-hued musky-powdery floral scent opens with a blend of neroli and mandarin orange. In the heart, iris pallida is paired with jasmine absolute. The trail offers ‘the most sophisticated and cottony of musks’ intertwined with vetiver and tonka bean. In olfactory terms, the fragrance is very different from the original N°19. More modern and much less green, it’s also distinctly sweeter. Perfumer: Jacques Polge.

When the celebrated N°19 powders its nose with musks
History
A powdery variation makes its entrance into the N° 19 family of fragrances. Inspired by N°19, which was created 40 years ago by Henri Robert, “N°19 Poudré” is more modern, but also muskier and more cottony. ‘I noticed that a lot of brands were inspired by N°19, and I wanted to reclaim the territory, which belongs to us,’ Jacques Polge, Chanel’s in-house perfumer, explains.
Range
Eau de Parfum 1.7 and 3.4 oz.
Bottle
You’ll recognize N°19’s sleek, uncluttered bottle, with a more opaque cap this time. The juice is pale green.

I think I would like the No. 19 Poudre better than the original No. 19 because I love the cottony and powdery power of Iris.
