Description

Comme des Garçons’ Play collection is composed of 3 fragrances: Play Red, a fruity-oriental composition, blends notes of mandarin orange, pepper, safraleine, geranium, cinnamon, osmanthus, cherry, myrrh and tolu balm. Play Green, a fresh, aromatic fragrance, combines mint, lime, juniper berry, basil, jasmine, mastic (lentisk), ambrette seed, vetiver and cedar. Play Black, a smoky-woody-chypry scent, opens with spicy notes before evolves to a warmer, more aromatic heart of violet, thyme and black tea. The dry-down is smoky and woody. (see pyramid).

History

‘The absence of concept is creation’ Comme des Garçons explains. The phrase inspired this in-the-know brand in defining their Play collection. Play Red, Play Black and Play Green are 3 variations on the theme of the citrus-aromatic scent Play. Actually, these 3 eaux de toilette don’t share anything other than the 2007 scent’s packaging. Instead, each creation has its own distinctive olfactory identity. An elegantly simple collection that is replacing the initial Play scent.
