SHEER SCENT
Description
The Costume National brand is the brainchild of the Italian designer Ennio Capasa. It offers women a strong identity: both elegant and avant-garde. The ready-to-wear line – a remarkable success – has been followed by a range of scents with a bold, sensual, urban signature. The presentation is pared down and totally graceful, for a sophisticated, timeless fragrance. Like their pure, essential fashions, COSTUME NATIONAL perfumes use only the noblest materials: thus amber espouses jasmine and hibiscus. The designer collaborated on this scent with the perfumer Laurent Bruyère, who was also responsible for Scent and Scent Intense.

ROSEMARIE, I do agree with your comment. And the nose behind the fragrance is Laurent Bruyère who died in 2008 at the age of 43. He was so talentuous. I would like to try Sheer Scent.

The raw materials are so simple, but are so compelling. Apricot mixed with jasmine tea and the white amber and musks makes me think of a very chic pale boucle summer suit. A tester for sure!

This fragrance really surprised me. It's extremely fresh at the beginning and it makes you wonder why would anyone classify it as oriental. As it dries, it gets sweeter and more of a "skin" scent. I still don't think it's a proper oriental, but it did get much closer to it when dry.
