Description
This vetiver scent signed Dior opens with fresh notes of grapefruit paired with greener tonalities. At the heart, the fragrance goes woody, earthy and spicy, revealing an intense, unrefined note of vetiver. You’ll also discover some spicier facets, with a very light roasted-coffee note bringing a touch of bitter-sweetness to accompany the vetiver. Perfumer: François Demachy

The scent that shows you know about elegance and the finer things in life
History
With its woody, slightly spicy, smoky and roasted scent, Vétiver is part of the ‘Collection Christian Dior’. This series of essences was composed for connoisseurs of fine fragrances by François Demachy, the House of Dior’s perfumer-designer. Each of the creations in the collection was inspired by different moments in the history of the House of Dior, like a tribute to the fashion designer and his most important encounters. Vétiver evokes the neo-dandy spirit of a sophisticated gentleman wearing black tie. An elegance that was dear to Monsieur Dior, and which can be found in his world thanks to the refined ambiances, reminiscent of Parisian smoking rooms in the 1930s. Dior’s perfumer wanted a fragrance worked around the very masculine note of vetiver, enhanced with a hedonist, epicurean character. Female dandys who are vetiver fans will probably enjoy this scent, too.
