Dior’s perfume Grand Bal opens with a bouquet of ylang-ylang and orange blossom. The heart is composed around jasmine from Grasse, in the south of France. The ball trails off to a gentle end of musks and sandalwood. Perfumer: François Demachy.

History
A sun-drenched jasmine scent composed around a ‘radiant floral bouquet,’ Grand Bal is entering the ‘Collection Christian Dior,’ a line conceived for connoisseurs of the most stunning essences. Each scent is inspired by the history and the spirit of the house of Dior. Grand Bal refers to Christian Dior’s taste for ‘the excesses of the grandiose dance balls that he would never miss for any reason.’ This jasmine perfume ‘elegantly incarnates the intoxicating sensation of seeing the first glow of dawn at the end of a summer’s night,’ Dior explains.

Bottle
The cylindrical Grand Bal bottle affords a glimpse of a pale amber juice. A white label with the fragrance’s name graces the bottle. The striped black cap grants an elegantly contrasting touch.

si vous aimez le jasmin n’hésitez pas à l'acheter! un peu cher (155€ les 125 mL), mais il les vaut amplement un vrai jasmin habillé de notes poudrées, qui tient très bien dans le temps
