Eau de Lierre
Description
A fresh, luminous opening heralds the gently impertinent ivy note with its lightly moist, green botanical accents. A hint of something peppery bestows a dash of heat on the fragrance, which evolves towards a trail of woods and musks.
At a glance
A sweet and lively freshness with notes of ivy
History
The three founders of Diptyque wanted to pay tribute to ivy (lierre in French), the climbing plant that evoked something different for each of them: country houses, a painter’s studio by a glassed-enclosed patio, or forests edged by rivers and streams. So ivy’s fresh, green and airy scent is the keystone to this fragrance, which can be shared by men and women alike. Diptyque also has an ivy-scented candle.
Range
Eau de Toilette, 50 ml and 100 ml.
Bottle
You’ll recognize the house’s square bottle topped with a black cap. The packaging is adorned with a black-on-white ivy-leaf pattern.

My first home was covered in ivy. It was in a city not a country villa. It is a curious thing - aquatic ivy. I can picture dewy or wet ivy. The ivy crept over a brick house not a wood construction. It was decoration for cement. Luckily, the ivy didn't completely cover my house as that would be creepy. Like a run-down forgotten home.
