Dangerous Complicity
Description
Hard to categorize, Dangerous Complicity is composed around the slightly gourmand notes used in aphrodisiac elixirs and potions. At the top, ginger is combined with calamus, a.k.a. sweet flag or sweet grass (a note with grassy-green accents), apricot and lorenox (an ambry-woody note). The floral heart reveals notes of jasmine, osmanthus and ylang-ylang. The trail unveils a leather accord paired with patchouli, sandalwood, rum and cashmeran. Perfumer: Violaine Collas, Mane.

Etat Libre d’Orange unveils Dangerous Complicity. The fragrance was inspired by Adam and Eve – specifically by their complicity… which turned out to be dangerous, once they’d tasted the forbidden fruit. Etat Libre d’Orange explains that the scent is redolent of skin: ‘Even when the intimacy is over, the scent is there to remind you of the touch.’

Un parfum d'état libre d'orange facile à porter, élégant... qui manquera donc d'originalité et de décalage pour certain(e)s. Je trouve cependant que c'est l'un des plus réussis. A l'application il me paraissait fort et envahissant, mais il devient vite suave bien qu'il reste assez présent .

Un peu déçue par ce parfum, après les magnifiques Like this et Bijou romantique. J'aurais imaginé quelque chose de plus transgressif qu'un ennième patchouli fruité (il m'évoque à la fois black xs et la petite robe noire), avec un goût de bonbon framboise-violette sur le fond de patchouli. Rien de subversif, mais cela reste un parfum moderne, facile à porter et avec une bonne tenue.

Pour moi, il est difficile de décrire ou de classer une création d'Etat Libre d'Orange tant les pyramides sont complexes mais je qualifierais celui-ci de gourmand.
