History

Dianthus marks Italian fashion and fragrance brand Etro’s return to the perfume scene. Dianthus is the Latin word for “carnation”. Carnations are said to have sprung from the tears shed by a shepherd who was hopelessly in love with the goddess Diana. Here carnation – a sweet and spicy flower – is graced with notes of red pepper, orange and rose. In selected perfume stores and department stores.

Simple, but elegant bottle holds quite a surprise. Carnation, rose, ginger are dunked in red pepper for a dose of spiciness. Full of surprise. When you want to be a surprise and sleep over at his house. I love the name, Dianthus.
