Vétiver Extraordinaire
Description
Why “Extraordinaire”? ‘Because of its percentage of vetiver: 25%, when most fragrances of this type have a third of that’? Because of its surprising composition, around a vetiver ‘purged of its parasitic notes’? Because of its secret five-wood accord? Or because of the way it’s been rendered, as radiant as the scent of the woods in autumn? Try it and find out…
At a glance
A surprising vetiver fragrance, composed by perfumer Dominique Ropion.
History
Vétiver Extraordinaire was created by perfumer Dominique Ropion for Les Editions de Parfums Frederic Malle, who has gathered together the crème de la crème of perfumers for surprising projects, far from the beaten paths of traditional perfumery. The brand offers its rare and sumptuous gems to true perfumistas. Originally available in Paris only (at two boutiques that really are worth the visit), the brand is now available in most major cities the world over. To find out more: www.editionsdeparfums.com

It sounds like an overdose of vetiver and I am inspired to try it on a very daring man. Vetiver can be over-the-top, but I still want to try it. I know just the type - the race car driver and kamikaze pilots.
