Description
Shalimar Parfum Initial L’Eau opens with notes of bergamot, neroli and grapefruit. The floral heart is composed of Damask rose, iris and grandiflora jasmine (from Grasse, India and Egypt). The combination of vanilla and tonka bean in the trail grants the fragrance a slightly gourmand facet. Perfumer: Thierry Wasser.

With this flanker for Shalimar Parfum Initial, Thierry Wasser wanted to create a lighter, sheerer fragrance. Aimed at a modern and sensual woman, the perfume evolves towards fresh, velvety accents, ‘without betraying anything’... An eau as ‘light as a feather or chiffon blowing on a breeze.’

You’ll recognize Shalimar’s signature bottle, which lets the pink juice show through. The tassel around the neck is powder pink this time.

Curieusement, il est vraiment pas très différent de l'eau de parfum, très doux, poudré et sensuel, mais infiniment délicieux. Les notes de tête et de fond de l'eau de parfum sont beaucoup plus marquée, et l'on sent bien le fond shalimar dans la version eau de parfum. Mais je trouve que ça ne manque pas à cette version légère, on dirait une écharpe en soie qui glisse sur la peau

It is not as nice, rich and iconic as Shalimar, the original, but it is a good way to put this perfume in today's taste and make it well-known for the new generations. It is well balanced and very refine.

Je viens de tester et je m'attendais à ne pas du tout aimer et ça va. Ce n'est pas un parfum que je pourrais porter maintenant mais plus tard pourquoi pas.

On retrouve les codes de Shalimar, mais c’est différent. C’est un retravail de Shalimar qui est plutôt réussi. Par rapport à Shalimar, la marque a gardé le côté gousse de vanille qui est légèrement animalisé, et l’a étiré. Pour cette variation, on aurait pu effacer le côté animalisé de Shalimar et garder le côté chaud et doux ; ici c’est presque le contraire. On retrouve ici ce côté animal doux qu’il y a dans la vraie gousse de vanille. C’est presque une eau de vanille.
