Description
Maurice Roucel and Sylvaine Delacourte whipped up an over-dosed, triumphant violet, ‘worlds away from the delicate, half-tint whisper that it usually represents.’ A ‘sparkling burst of red berries’ note brings a juicy, fruity character. The trail unveils an iris accord strengthened with touches of balm.
At a glance
The irreverent scent of youth, daring and freedom
History
‘Insolence is a light in the eyes, a bold smile that fears nothing and no one, bravado, style, careless grace’… incarnated by two-time Oscar-winner Hilary Swank, the face of the fragrance. A perfume that may well surprise hard-core fans of Guerlain, whose goal here was to make a sharp, modern, youthful fragrance. Maurice Roucel, who designed L’Instant, dreamt up an ‘over-dosed, over-excited violet’ reinforced with red berries and iris. The bottle, created by Serge Mansau, is a dizzying stack of half spheres.

Un parfum de violette qui ne fait pas les adorables mamies de notre enfance. Un très beau parfum que seul Guerlain pouvait réussir.
