Description

A thoroughbred flight of frankincense, pink pepper from Reunion island, and iris. At the heart, dense Brazilian gaiac wood is warmed ‘on a carpet of benzoin trimmed with coriander’. At the drydown, Indonesian patchouli reveals its woody, almost leathery ardor, over a bed of Copahu balm.

History

In 2005 was born the L’Art et la Matière collection (“The Art and the Matter,” a pun on the French expression “The Art and the Manner”). After Cuir Beluga, Angelique Noire and Rose Barbare, Bois d’Armenie is the fourth essence in this line of fragrances for both men and women, exploring new olfactory territories around rare or unheard-of ingredients. Child of perfume designer Annick Menardo’s imagination, the pure-bred, seductive fragrance Bois d’Armenie carries us away upon ‘curls of smoke rising from the scented paper of the same name’.
