Fougère Royale
Description
Fougère Royale opens on a energizing cocktail of citrus fruit mixed with a bouquet of Mediterranean herbs, where lavender and Moroccan camomile mark the beat. The fresh start is followed by an excessive heart of geranium and spice tones enhanced by a floral accord made of rose absolute essence, pepper, cinnamon and carnation. The grand finale is a harmony of amber and woody notes, where oakmoss is mixed with sensual patchouli, deepened by coumarine as well as Tonka bean and sage absolute.

History
Presented for the first time in1882, Fougère Royale turned the world of fragrance upside down and made it possible for modern perfumery to come into existence as it is now known. Fougère Royale was the first « fougère » ever made, giving birth to a new – and until today most popular – family of men’s fragrances. More important even: Paul Parquet was the first perfumer to understand how to isolate the highly scented raw material molecules, thus creating synthesis natural ingredients. Still remaining true to its past, the Maison Houbigant revived this exceptional classic in a contemporary and modern twist.

Un classique mis au goût du jour. A tester, le commentaire de STERENN me tente. De la fraîcheur avec de la mousse de chêne est effectivement surprenant.

I am in awe of this fragrance by Houbigant. I find it the most desirable of the Houbigant's men scents. Blue chamomile, lavender, tonka bean, may rose and cinnamon sounds compelling for any type of man. except for the extremely young teens.

Magnifique, splendide, j'ai eu le plaisir de le sentir à l'ISIPCA pendant une conférence sur l'histoire de la parfumerie, je ne sais pas si j'ai senti la formulation originale ou la nouvelle version, sur la trentaine de parfum que j'ai senti cet après-midi là celui-ci fut de loin mon préféré. Frais (malgré la mousse de chêne) et surprenant.
