In the top notes, Oud & Bergamot takes flight, with a sparkling opening of bergamot, lemon and orange, paired with lightly floral notes. The fragrance goes on to reveal refined woody waves of cedar that announce the fragrance’s key note: oud wood, exhaling its lightly caramelized, smoky tonalities. History

A sweet and complex woody fragrance, Oud & Bergamot is part of Jo Malone’s Cologne Intense collection. This series of perfumes was inspired by secular rituals in the Middle East. The collection is the fruit of a collaboration between perfumer Christine Nagel and Jo Malone’s design studio aiming to create bold fragrances that reinterpret popular perfumery ingredients. Each of the compositions has been designed in such a way that it can be worn alone or layered with another fragrance from the collection for an infinitely modifiable “bespoke” effect. Oud & Bergamote was born of the marriage between two thoroughbred ingredients – oud and bergamote – united here in a modern interpretation in which bergamot refines oud’s smoky facets with a sparkling hint of freshness.
