Description
Pomegranate Noir opens with red fruits and warm, rich spices. Tart pomegranate and lush plum lead into the floral heart notes, which are accented by earthy woods, opopanax and frankincense. The drydown adds musk and a whisper of patchouli, creating a mysterious, dusky trail.

History
A vintage red silk dress worn by a friend inspired Jo Malone to create Pomegranate Noir, a playfully sexy fragrance pairing mouthwatering red fruit notes with darker undertones of frankincense, spicy woods, and patchouli. It is alluring enough to wear on its own, or can be layered with other Jo Malone fragrances; Jo Malone suggests pairing Pomegranate Noir with Vintage Gardenia Cologne for a more "dressed up" scent, or with Orange Blossom body creme for a more casual feel. Available at Jo Malone boutiques and selected department stores.

Bottle
Jo Malone’s signature packaging features spare but chic bottles with elegant black and cream labels. The cream and black motif is continued on the outer packaging.

This is a winning perfume. It is very different in that it is truly a tart pomegranate supported by spicy woods. It's very different. If I had more money at the store, I would have bought this.

You get a sheer red fruit veil and then the scent turns a bit earthy. Lovely. I like the ad's description "vintage red silk dress," as you really see that image as you put it on.

Un superbe melange de baies, fruits rouges, bref de notes acidulées et sucrées et de bois généreux, chauds presque fumés... chapeau bas! Totalement addictif!!

I have an affinity for peppery fragrances, and Pomegranate Noir is a great marriage of tart fruit, smoky incense, spicy woods, earthy patchouli, frankincense, opoponax, and, of course, an exquisite supporting player - pink pepper. The lasting power is amazing, you can take a shower and still smell a peppery veil on your skin ! Pomegranate Noir would layer beautifully with Jo Malone's Vintage Gardenia, with the bright, sweet gardenia tempering the sharp, brittle, earthy edge and calming the 'noir'.
