Aromatic Blends
Description
Aromatic Blends is a collection that comprises 4 perfumes: Fig Leaf and Sage is woody aromatic scent. Orange Flower and Lychee is a fruity-floral that underscores orange blossom with petit-grain before pairing it with lychee. Nashi Blossom and Pink Grapefruit is another fruity-floral composition. Nashi is a fruit that tastes like a cross between apple and pear. Here its flower is blended with grapefruit. Vanilla and Cedarwood (see pyramid below) is composed with Ugandan vanilla, which possesses sweet, almost smoky notes, and is also fresher and less gourmand than most vanillas. The cedar, which comes from forests in the southern USA, has slightly smoky effects that are reminiscent of tobacco.

History
American cosmetics brand Kiehl’s presents their Aromatic Blends collection. Kiehl’s played the simplicity card here, using very few ingredients for each scent. The outcome is a collection of 4 fragrances that pair two main ingredients each. Each creation leads you to discover a different region: the arid landscapes of Provence, an oasis in the Moroccan desert, the Ugandan jungle and Japanese gardens. All four fragrances come in a range of scented options for both and body.
Range
Eau de Toilette 3.4 oz.; Shower Gel 8.5 oz.; Body Lotion 8.5 oz.
Bottle
The minimalist bottle is sleek, transparent and cylindrical.

Orange Flower and Lychee... Vraiment un étonnement. Verte, très jungle et sucrée mais pas trop, j'ai été surprise par le départ, pertinent! Ensuite, même s'il se veut réconfortant, aucune tenue...

This was love at first sight! Of course, this is only a mist, so do not expect radiation in the style and capacity of an AMOUAGE. But I just wanted something to lift me up, you know? Like a good friend's pad on the shoulder to tell you "it's gonna be fine!"....and that's exactly what this little fella did for me. Just a clean, creamy, warm and friendly, sunny smile of a scent. The Vanilla is Ugandan, so slightly different from the Madagascarian one. The opening is a bit "piney/ forresty" thanks to the cedarwood but it quickly gives way to the sexy and uplifting amber, then this harmony sinks an octave deeper to a shimmering tender iris until it melts into that creamy, yummy, skin scent vanilla you just wanna eat (not because it is so stereo-typical gourmand but for its natural beauty). Sandalwood adds to it and glimmers into the deep warmth, humming like the final note in a song that does not seem to end.
