Aedes de Venustas
Description
Hard to classify, Aedes de Venustas opens with citrusy-spicy notes of orange and two different peppers. The heart evolves towards flowery tonalities of rose, iris and immortelle, intensified with coffee and frankincense. The woodier, more-oriental trail blends white musk, opoponax, leather, benzoin and patchouli. Perfumer: Bertrand Duchaufour.

History
Directly inspired by the New York boutique of the same name, known for the rare scents it carries, the fragrance Aedes de Venustas evokes mystery and magic. L’Artisan Parfumeur wanted to recreate the perfumery’s exceptionally cozy atmosphere. The scent invites you into ‘a woody world redolent of the forest, with its branches, leaves and flowers.’ It’s worth noting that there is also another fragrance called Aedes de Venustas, made by the brand of the same name, which is very different olfactory terms.
