KARLEIDOSCOPE
Description
The softly spicy opening of this floriental fragrance comes from notes of violet leaf, angelica seed and neroli. More powdery than floral, the heart combines violet with heliotrope and freesia. This discreet, understated fragrance’s trail blends waves of patchouli, benzoin and tonka bean. Perfumer: Christophe Raynaud.

If you had to pick a single item to symbolize Karl Lagerfeld and his multi-facetted talent, without the shadow of a doubt, it would have to be a kaleidoscope. So it makes perfect sense that Karl Lagerfeld was inspired by that intriguing and playful object to create a perfume with a humorous name: KARLEIDOSCOPE. Composed around violet, this ‘chic, self-confident and feminine’ eau de toilette represents the many facets of a ‘karleidoscopic’ personality.

J'ai rate l'orthographe de Karleidoscope jusqu'a ce que je lis la description. La ligne noire sur le flacon me rappelle de cravates minces de Karl. I can see small violets and freesia stomped along with angelica root under Karl's big black boots.

Aimant bien le créateur si "personnage" et ses phrases mémorables, je suis vite allée voir cette collection exclusive de Sephora. Côté packaging, je n'ai pas été déçue. Tout est beau, sobre et bien réfléchi. C'est tentant, c'est à la fois rigide et festif. Ce parfum a un écrin à la fois très chic et jet-setteur. Effectivement, on a envie de le posséder. Le flacon, dans la même lignée est sobre et élégant. Mais j'ai été un peu déçue par la fragrance. Elle sent bon. Sur ce point, il n'y a rien à redire. Aucune faute de goût. Mais elle est un peu trop "passe partout" pour moi, qui aime les parfums de caractère, ceux avec lesquels on me reconnait. Ici, rien de tout ça : un parfum floral assez léger et qui tient moyennement, pour de jolies jeunes filles. Le tout pour un prix moyen, ni très élevé, ni bon marché.
