The crux of the plot combines two vetivers: warm, mellow, leathery Bourbon vetiver and mysterious, smoky Haitian vetiver. Rustic, aromatic cypress opens the tale, while musks and Cashmere wood bring their enveloping warmth to the close. A seductively woody scent created by Nathalie Lorson, Firmenich.

Encre Noire by Lalique is an enigmatic fragrance, a tale told to a tenebrous, elegant man. It’s a woody adventure with vetiver for a hero. A bold and generous wood scent. Sheathed in a bottle composed of exotic wood and black glass, evoking an ink bottle.

A square of black glass, topped by a heavy stopper of wengé wood. This ‘dark and enigmatic crystal ink bottle’ was inspired by l’Encrier Biche, created in 1913 by René Lalique.

Une composition présente complexe et pourtant pas imposante. C'est chic masculin vraiment pas une création industrielle. Un boisé vétiver pour l'hivers.

Un parfum masculin qui peut convenir à beaucoup de par sa simplicité (on est principalement sur le vétiver). On est très loin des parfums mainstream qui sentent "le mec", ici le flacon représente vraiment bien le parfum : sombre, simple et élégant. Les notes de l'association de vétivers rappellent l'odeur de crayon de bois que l'on vient de tailler, boisées et légèrement sulfurisées. Relativement abordable, ce parfum mérite plus de notoriété, il est très moderne (la simplicité associée à la profondeur).

Well done fragrance, quality top ingredients, very cozy and relaxing feel. Un parfum bien fait. Ingre'dients de qualite'. Une sensation de relaxation. Una fragrancia bien hecha, ingredientes de calidad. Sensacion de relajacion.

Pour moi, l'un des plus beaux parfums masculins qui existent. Contrairement à ce qui est écrit, je trouve son évolution non pas vieillotte mais plutôt rétro. Ses notes boisées sont d'un équilibre rare, les vétivers y sont travaillés avec une dextérité incroyable. Je ne m'en lasse pas et le recommande vraiment plutôt que les mièvreries actuelles (l'homme idéal etc....)
