Description
Kumquat, one of Marc Jacobs’s scents for 2012, opens with a cocktail of citrus notes: mandarin orange, bergamot and orange. Composed around kumquat, a small Asian citrus fruit, the heart reveals floral tonalities of jasmine and orchid too. The trail releases waves of woody notes. Perfumer: Richard Herpin, Firmenich.

History
Bitter and sparkling, Kumquat is one of the three eaux de toilette in Marc Jacobs’s Tropical Splash 2012 collection. Inspired by summer, the designer takes us to a sunny tropical island. Launched in conjunction with Hibiscus and Rain (the latter is a Splash that was originally launched in 2006), Kumquat and its energizing orange hue will take you straight to the heart of a care-free afternoon of fun in the sun.

I Love the idea of kumquat in a fragrance! Be still my beating heart. Thank you to Marc Jacobs for this type of fragrance. It is a tester for me. It is only one of the Marc Jacobs perfumes that I'd love to try. I should make a "Marc Jacobs fragrance testing day," so I can pick some favorites.
