Description
Habanita eau de parfum opens with notes of lentisk, geranium, petit-grain and ylang-ylang. The woodsy heart, composed around vetiver, has floral and powdery facets, too, as well as including nutmeg and cedar. In the more-oriental trail, you’ll find woodsy, musky and ambry waves of scent paired with a gourmand touch of vanilla.

History
Molinard has rethought and rejuvenated Habanita, the ‘Grasse-based house’s key fragrance,’ created in 1921. This new version keeps most of the original scent’s ingredients, but with a younger face, thanks to the addition of other notes. Both modern and historic at once, this eau de parfum is timeless, mysterious and elegant. It is meant for charming, free-spirited women of character who, ‘improvise a journey by picking a train at random, and instinctively reach for what’s new.’

The original bottle has been revisited, too. But you’ll recognize the matte-black color, the jutting edges and the bas-relief frieze designed by René Lalique.

Habanita peut etre trop masculine pour certains. Je ne crains pas senteurs androgenes. Elle couches tres bien avec Serge Lutens Fleurss de Citronnier et sa Bas de Soie. il en fait un leger mais repandue gardenia ambre coin de paradis.

On ne peut que souligner l'originalité de ce parfum où la note de tabac (style cigare) est omniprésente. A moi aussi, il me fait penser à une femme une peu "masculine", au caractère bien trempé, actrice de sa vie, voire dominatrice. Je vois bien Georges Sand le porter. C'est un parfum qui est cependant très fort et cette note de tabac me déplaît fortement. C'est un parfum bien loin des codes actuels du parfum marketing et rien que pour cela il mérite d'être connu....

Everyone should smell the new Habanita! It is the essence of Grasse as I imagine. So UNIQUE, so different, so relevant, so heavenly, it is hard to believe. Very sexy as well.

Une belle version de Habanita, remise au goût du jour, pour une fois l'on a pas dénaturé un classique pour le remettre sur le devant de la scène. A redécouvrir d'urgence!
