Description
Centered on cedar wood, Féminité du Bois opens with spicy notes. The heart unveils notes of flowers, including violet, and almost-crystallized fruit, like plum. In the trail, cedar is reinforced with sandalwood and more oriental notes.

History
Created in 1992, and originally launched under the Shiseido name, Féminité du Bois entered Serge Lutens’s collection in 2009. The 1992 teardrop bottle has yielded to Serge Lutens fragrances’ signature rectangular bottle. The scent itself, centered on cedar wood, is unchanged, however. Despite its name, Féminité du Bois can be worn by men or women, like all Serge Lutens fragrances.

Serge Lutens philosophe tellement à propos de Féminité du Bois que le parfum en est devenu incompréhensible... effectivement pas pour moi...

Le silence de la bouche et ouvrir l'ame avec un parfum centree sur cedre. Melanger dans prune cristallise et laissez les pheromones continuent de la. il devrait etre envoutante.

If I had been a perfumer, this is the fragrance I would have wanted to create. I remember trying Féminité du Bois when it first launched back in 1992 - before wood was used very often in women's fragrances - and just being enamoured with how unusual and rawly sensual it was ! I love how the rooty resins meld with spices and dried fruits, producing an oriental woody gourmand for a sophisticated and creative woman. Serge Lutens original amethyst amorphous bottle was the perfect luminous vessel for Christopher Sheldrake and Pierre Bourdon's masterpiece, and now has been updated to the beautifully minimalist rectangular bottle of the other fragrances of the Serge Lutens export line. Féminité du Bois has inspired many fragrances over the years, like Viktor & Rolf's Flowerbomb and Estee Lauder's Sensuous, and it will continue to be a prototype for years to come.

Un très beau parfum avec une construction particulière et un sillage qui le rendent inoubliable et facilement identifiable : une base prunol (épicée et fruitée) alliée au cèdre et au santal, sur un fond balsamique vanillé. Je trouve que c’est très intéressant d’utiliser les notes boisées en grande quantité pour des parfums féminins, ce qui est plus traditionnellement réservé aux hommes. Comme par exemple dans Narciso Rodriguez for her, Infusion d’Iris de Prada, ou encore The Beat de Burberry.
