I did not really like it at first because I was thinking that it's too simple but I try it again and I found that simplicity very modern and refined. It is a light floral very luminous and well-creafted.

LILY is fast becoming a hit in USA. Most surprising of the trends of the perfumes released recently, is the fact that are re-introducing US masses to the "chypre." This is done by giving us just an "injection" of some chypre notes at one time in a perfume. Since we have rules & ridiculous laws in the US about wearing perfume that is too strong, Americans have adopted "very quiet fragrances." Orientals are even "dangerous" in night clubs. I love some of these new chypres and I'd never try them before (in 90's & forward).

I gave this a second try at Sephora. The pepper & black trufle opening notes are just a little peppery. The middle was a fresh green not a wet or dewy green. Very nicely done very modern chypre floral. It's one of Stella McCartney's best fragrances.

Sea salt and moss with patchouli and pepper don't sound light or fresh. It sounds like a chypre. The problem with most of these is you enjoy the smell and sometimes you smell like old stems crawling up the side of a brick building. Yuck.

This fragrance is a fresh chypre, with patchouli, a little bit of rose. It is also peppery, slightly oriental. I also feel a sea salt / ozonic note. I am not a patchouli fan in general but this is not overpowering. It is a fresher and a modern interpretation of a classic chypre like Eau du Soir by Sisley. It’s a fragrance for a woman who may want something comforting yet not overpowering. For what season ? Autumn (woody notes), light winter days or start of spring (fresher facets).
