Description

The composition opens with the fragrance’s key note, lavender. It appears here in the form of an absolute, paired with lavandin, a different variety of lavender. The aromatic flower is paired with citrus and sage. The heart creates an ‘accord of palm leaf and aldehydes’ intertwined with pink laurel, lime tree, vetiver and cedar. The sweeter dry-down blends benzoin, tonka bean, frankincense and moss.

History

Continuing his Private Blend collection, Tom Ford presents Lavender Palm, a sunny and aromatic fragrance. Composed around lavender and palm trees, as the name implies, this eau de parfum pays tribute to California. A destination ‘synonymous with all-natural vitality, and a relaxed yet refined elegance,’ Tom Ford explains.

Described as a fresh fougere, this catches my attention. Sounds like Ford didn't make a cloud of a fragrance. It sounds good for a refined man who enjoys fine things. For women? I'm not so sure. He could leave in the frankincense and the different lavenders appeal to me. Add to that, aldehyde, moss, oliban, sage & vetiver and I feel it would be better on a man. Maybe a lady who really drums to a different tune would like this for herself.
