Description
At the top, the fragrance unveils notes of saffron, cinnamon, everlasting flower and Sawara cypress. The heart intertwines candied notes of ume plum with camellia and agarbois (oud wood). The trail is composed of amber, benzoin, fir balsam and vanilla.
History
Gourmand and exotic, Plum Japonais is a fragrance in Tom Ford’s Atelier d’Orient collection. The line – an olfactory exploration of Asia and a reinvention of the region’s most precious ingredients – plays off of a blend of tradition and modernity. ‘The ume plum is an exquisite ingredient that has great meaning in Oriental culture. I wanted to craft a fragrance around it, because it has an aroma that is so luscious,’ Tom Ford explains. The sleek bottle is the same as for the Private Blend collection. this was my introduction to oud, ume plum and Tom Ford! Wow! This is definitely unisex. it is the kind of perfume you expect to find on a rich man's handkerchief. It is potent and beautiful. The top, middle and base notes are exactly as stated in the perfume description. I know it's limited edition. I feel very rich and sexy wearing this.
