Vanille Noire starts with a soft note of mandarin orange. Then Tahitian vanilla brings a sun-warmed tonality intertwined with the velvety character of mimosa. In the trail, the sweet and lightly woodsy facets of Ugandan vanilla are paired with a dash of leather. Perfumer: Jacques Cavallier, Firmenich.

History
Coming after Voile d’Ambre, Rose Absolue, Iris Noir and Tendre Jasmin, Vanille Noire (“Black Vanilla”) is Yves Rocher’s fifth “secret d’essence”. Jacques Cavallier composed the fragrance with three different types of vanilla: Bourbon (or French) vanilla, Tahitian vanilla and Ugandan vanilla each grant their own unique, characteristic tonality. Three types of vanilla tinged with orange? What is not to love? Unless somebody messed up the composition. Otherwise, who would not love a vanilla gourmand? I am inspired by 3 facets of vanilla and with orange as well.
